NOKIA N810 RUNNING UBUNTU MOBILE?

April 21, 2008 | ARM, Nokia

Well-- not yet.  But it certainly could be a possibility.  Nokia's "Handheld Mojo" team has already ported several versions to the ARM architecture.  Soooo.... hopefully that means an Ubuntu Mobile is coming to ARM-based devices sooner rather than later!  Read all the gritty details at www.LinuxDevices.com

COULD INTEL BE GETTING SOME COMPETITION?

April 17, 2008 | ARM

You bet. And it's a good thing in my opinion. Supposedly the term "MID" is the new buzz word for companies like ARM. According to Pocketables.net, ARM's label "CMC" (Connected Mobile Computing) was used to describe mobile devices with full internet capabilities. Now they are using the term coined by Intel- "MID". And they even classify the iPhone as a MID. Hmm... well-- it certainly could be considered one in upcoming releases considering it's "complete" browsing experience. But until you can view flash videos OUTSIDE of youtube.com-- the iPhone ain't no MID. Either way- good to see the platform of mobile internet devices advancing beyond one silicon manufacturer! via Pocketables.net
